One of my favorite books re:operations is https://www.bravenewwork.com/ by Aaron Dignan. It covers how our companies “operating systems” are rooted in concepts that do not match our current needs and what we can change to operate better.
It starts with a 1944 CIA sabotage manual, the principles listed to help sabotage look very similar to a lot of current company policies
